Terms of Service

The service

Obol is a dashboard that tracks your spending across large language model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, Mistral, Groq, xAI, DeepSeek, Cohere, and others). We pull usage data directly from each provider's public API using the credentials you supply. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any of these providers.

Your responsibilities

• Keep your email, password, and API keys secure. If you suspect your account is compromised, change the password from Settings and rotate any pasted API keys.
• You are responsible for the API key usage against the providers whose credentials you've connected — Obol only reads, never writes, but if your key is abused the charges land on your provider bill, not ours.
• Don't abuse our rate limits. Don't scrape our internal API. Don't run automated load tests against the service.

Fair use

One account per person. Team accounts are not currently supported. Rate limits apply per user and per endpoint — see the individual pages for specifics.

Plan and billing

• Free tier is free forever with one provider connection, 7-day history, and basic charts.
• Pro tier is $5/month (or $50/year). Payments are processed by Razorpay, which handles cards, UPI, PayPal, and netbanking.
• You can cancel at any time via Settings → Billing. After cancellation you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period, then automatically drop back to Free.
• If a subscription payment fails, we'll retry per your billing provider's grace period. If payment ultimately fails, your account reverts to Free but your data is preserved.

Termination

You can terminate your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone. Deletion cascades immediately and cannot be undone.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, specifically for: abuse of rate limits, attempts to circumvent authentication, fraudulent billing disputes, or reverse-engineering our API without permission. We will email the account owner before permanent termination unless the abuse is ongoing and the delay would cause harm.

No warranty

Obol is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make a best-effort attempt to report accurate cost numbers from provider APIs, but Obol is not a billing system of record. The authoritative number for what you owe a provider is always the provider's own billing dashboard. Use Obol for visibility and alerting, not for accounting reconciliation.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Obol is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months (which, for Free users, is zero). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, data loss, or unexpected provider bills.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects your rights, we'll bump the "last updated" date above and email you before the change takes effect.
